Energy Performance and Conservation

16 State Agency Energy Competition

To substantially reduce energy costs and consumption by State government, an energy/electricity competition was established in 2011 between the 16 largest energy-using agencies. Each agency's consumption of electricity (kWh) and total energy (MMBTU) from significant facilities is monitored in relation to a baseline year of FY 2008. Significant facilities are defined as those that have been occupied by the State since 2008 and are air-conditioned.

To view how the State and each of the 16 agencies are performing, please select between energy and electricity, and select an agency using the options to the right.

The Fiscal Year (FY) 2015 runs from July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015.

Statewide Summary Information

This chart is the percentage of energy usage of each agency in comparison to the total usage of all 16 participating state agencies. This chart shows agencies ranked by % energy reduction in FY2015 from a FY2008 baseline year.

Agency Specific Information

This chart represents the annual energy/electricity use of the agency since FY2008 and shows the overall performance in regard to the 15% reduction goal. Note: This chart is based on the agency's significant facilities only. This chart is a two year comparison of monthly energy/electricity.
