State Surplus Property Overview

Serviceable excess property is offered to:

  • State Agencies
  • Local Jurisdictions
  • Non-Profit Organizations
  • Online or public auctions

Excess property will be transferred to another State agency, whenever feasible, before other methods of disposal are considered.

Serviceable excess property will be listed periodically in an Excess Property Bulletin. For State Agencies, Local Governments and Non-Profit Organizations to be included in the notification, please send your name, email address and organization to dgs.statewidepropertydisposals@maryland.gov. A request for specific property can be sent to the same email address.

Donations to Local Jurisdictions and Non-Profit Organizations require a signed statement, State Form Exhibit #3 certifying the intended use of the property in the recipient’s program.
