Maryland Green Purchasing

Electric Vehicles and Related Equipment

Maryland is ramping up its fleet electrification activities to support the State’s greenhouse gas reduction goals. As EVs are added to the State’s vehicle fleet, State facilities will need adequate charging infrastructure in place to support them. In order to ensure charging stations meet energy efficiency and safety requirements, the Green Purchasing Committee has issued a comprehensive technical and environmentally preferable specification for electric vehicle charging stations - also known as electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE).
