Requesting Records

State Government Units may request their records stored within the State Records Center (SRC) by completing a DGS 550-8 Records Reference Request form and submitting it to the SRC by email, fax or mail.

Generally, records requests received by 10am will be retrieved and made available the same day.  Records requests received after 10am will be made available the following business day.   Unless otherwise instructed, records will be mailed to the address listed by the requestor.  Records may be retrieved in person at the SRC.  Please indicate this on the Request Form.

Note:  Third parties may not request and/or retrieve records from the SRC.  Only the State government unit that transferred records to the SRC may request and/or records from the SRC.
